Note:

We now have access to up-to-date ActionTec emulators.
It is strongly recommended to use those.
The new emulators include ActionTec and Verizon firmware.
This way you can match firmware to what the customer has and see exactly what they see.

The new emulators are located on the Tech Portal!

Logging In

Type the default gateway into your URL bar.

Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Username: admin
Password: password

You should see the main menu once you get logged into the gateway.

From this screen click on Setup / Configuration
This will bring you to the Setup screen:

(To Configure any settings in this version of the ActionTec you must run the configuration wizard.)

Click on Setup / Configuration
This will bring you to the Setup screen:

Click on Advanced Setup, which will bring you to the Advanced Setup screen:

Click the Begin Advanced Setup button.

Click the corresponding link from the navigation column on the left.
Or you can click on Begin Advanced Setup to launch the setup wizard, and keep pressing Next until you get to the page you seek.

Click on Wireless Settings:
This is the page where you configure your wireless options:

• Make sure your wireless name doesn't have any spaces or special characters in it.
• Also make sure the channel is not on an auto setting, and preferrably is not on channel 6.

Another example is Wireless Security:

• If wireless security is used make sure either WEP 64/128 or WPA TKIP/AES is used (WPA2 is not compatible)

Click on Wireless Advanced Settings :

• Ensure SSID broadcast is enabled, so the STB will find the wireless network
• The wireless mode should be G-only, or BG Mixed (Wireless N does not work if applicable)

Click on DMZ Hosting:
This is the page where you can enable DMZ. This should be enabled to get SkyAngel to work properly, for an explanation of what DMZ is click here.You will need to finish the last octet of the IP address, and assign this IP to the SkyAngel STB for DMZ to work. For instructions on how to set up a Static IP address click here.

Click on Firewall:
This page is where you configure the firewall level. SkyAngel will work best with the firewall disabled.

Click on Save and Restart:

Click the Save and Restart, to save your changes and reboot the router.
