Logging In

Here is the informatin for logging into a Belkin router:
Type the Default Gateway(192.168.2.1) into URL bar.
You should get the Belkin status page:

When you attempt to navigate to any configuration screen you will be prompted to login.

There is no default password, just click submit and leave the password field blank.

Wireless Configuration

From the navigation column, click on Channel and SSID (if connecting wirelessly) to configure the wireless options.
This will bring you to following screen:

This screen may be slightly different, depending on the model of your router, but the basic settings should be the same.
To configure the wireless options optimally:

• Ensure there are no spaces or special characters in your network name/SSID
• Ensure the wireless mode is on G-only or BG Mixed (N modes are not compatible)
• Ensure the wireless channel is not on auto, and preferrably not on channel 6
• Disable Protected Mode

To Configure wireless security settings, click on Security

Use this page to configure Wireless Security:

• WEP 64/128 is compatible
• WPA TKIP or WPA AES is compatible
• WPA2 is not comaptible

Firewall/DMZ

The Belkin has a firewall, it is easy to disable.
Click on the Firewall heading from the navigation column, which will bring you to the firewall page:

To disable the firewall simply click on Disable and Apply Changes.

Another way to address this problem is to enable DMZ.
The DMZ feature is located under the Firewall heading on the navigation column.

You will need to finish the last octet of the IP address and check enable.
You will then need to assign this IP to the SkyAngel STB for DMZ to work.

Restart

If you make changes to the router it is usually recommended to reboot it so the changes are taken into effect.
Click on Restart from the navigation column, which will bring you to the following page:

Click Restart to restart the router.
