Checking the Current Software Version

In order to check the customer’s current software version, follow these steps:

  1. On the customer’s Sky Angel remote, press the yellow SETUP button (Verify that the customer is on the Main Menu).
  2. The customer should now be on the System Configuration Screen. On this screen, select Advanced Configuration and press PLAY.
  3. The customer will now be on the Advanced Configuration screen.
  4. The current software version (2.5.0) is listed at the bottom of that page.

Choosing WEP/WPA Security

To help a customer switch between WEP and WPA Security, follow these steps:

  1. On your Sky Angel remote, press the yellow SETUP button (Verify that you are on the Main Menu).
  2. You will now be on the System Configuration Screen. On this screen, press PLAY on Network Configuration.
  3. Select WLAN and press PLAY.
  4. Use the "1", "2" or "3" number buttons on your remote control to toggle between these different security options.

Please note that the security type the customer selects on the STB should match what is currently configured on the customer’s wireless router. If these security types do not match, the customer will lose his/her connection to his/her router and no longer be able to access the Sky Angel programming.


Refer A Friend

To access your Refer a Friend code, follow these steps:

  1. From the Sky Angel IPTV Main Menu, select My Account and press PLAY on the Sky Angel remote.
  2. On the My Account screen, select Refer a Friend and press PLAY on the Sky Angel remote.
  3. Write the down the Refer a Friend code that appears on the screen.

Reminder: The customer can give this code to up to five friends or family members and receive ONE MONTH FREE of programming PER friend or family member that signs up! If you recommend Sky Angel to five people, you can get almost half a year of Sky Angel for FREE!


Disabling the BLOOP Noise

To disable the BLOOP noise, try the following:

  1. On your Sky Angel remote, press the yellow SETUP button (Verify that the customer is on the Main Menu).
  2. On the Advanced Configuration Screen, press the DOWN arrow once.
  3. The customer will now be on the BLOOP NOISE ON/OFF option. Select OFF.
