Westell 327W

Westell Versalink 327W Gateway
(This is an older firmware version, your firmware may appear differently)
The Westell 327W works fairly well with SkyAngel. Some configurations steps may need to be taken however.

Configure the Westell 327W Gateway:

Logging In

Type http://dslrouter or http://192.168.1.1 into your URL bar.
The Home page is the first page you see when you log in.

To navigate from this screen, highlight the navigation bar.

Wireless Configuration

To configure the wireless settings, highlight Configuration, and select Wireless from the dropdown list.
This will bring you to the wireless settings page:

• Make sure mode is comaptible (preferrably G-only or BG Mixed)
• Make sure channel is not on auto, preferrable not on channel 6
• Make sure network name/SSID has no spaces or special characters
• If wireless security is used make sure either WEP 64/128 or WPA TKIP/AES is used (WPA2 is not compatible)

Firewall

To configure the firewall settings, highlight Configuration, and select Firewall from the dropdown list.
This will bring you to the firewall settings page:

The firewall needs to be disabled.

Port Forwarding

From the navigation bar, highlight Configuration. In the dropdown menu you should see Services. Click it.

Click on New to create a new service.

Select Port Forwarding, and click next.
Name Your Service (ex. IPTV)
Enter the port range you wish to forward (Ex. 1755Click Next.-3755)
Enter your Base Host port (ex. 80)
Select TCP
Click Next

You should now see this screen:

Click Close to complete creating the forwarding service.

You should be returned to the Services screen.

Select your new service from the dropdown menu and enable it.

Static NAT

According to the description, Static NAT should allow all unsolicited inbound traffic to pass through to the selected device.
This should work similar to DMZ.

From the navigation bar, highlight configuration. Select Services from the dropdown menu.
You should see this page:

At the bottom, click on Static NAT.
You should see this page:

Select the device (STB) from the dropdown box and click Enable.
